My current work is under guidance of INFLOW, an interdisciplinary project dedicated to bridge the gap between molecular-scale chemical processes and physical processes (e.g. multiphase flow and dispersion/diffusion in porous media) through experimental in situ molecular investigations at mineral/water interfaces, pore-scale imaging, and emerging micro-fluid technology to explore how unsaturated flow controls critical chemical reactions in nature. This project gathers supports from research fields of chemistry, fluid mechanics, and Earth sciences from ISCR (UMR CNRS 6226), GR (UMR CNRS 6118), and IPR (UMR CNRS 6251) funded by ANR. My part of work in this project, under supervision of Prof. Khalil Hanna (ENSCR, Rennes), Prof. Tanguy Le Borgne (GeoScience, Rennes), and Prof. Hervé Tabuteau (Institute of Physics of Rennes, Rennes), is largely focused on reactive transport of antibiotics in unsaturated porous media, as well as their complexation and transformation behaviors under conditions of environmental relevance.
